2-Day Workshop · 27–28 Aug 2026 · Amara Singapore
Your EDM is competing with dozens of others in the same inbox. Most get deleted in under three seconds. The ones that survive have two things working together: copy that earns attention, and design that makes reading effortless. This workshop develops both.

The Problem
Generic headlines and weak subject lines mean your EDM never gets read. The best content in the world is worthless if it sits unopened in an inbox.
Listing information is not the same as communicating value. When EDMs focus on what rather than why it matters, readers disengage before reaching the call to action.
Text-heavy, cluttered layouts and inconsistent branding undermine trust before a single word is read. Visual presentation determines whether your EDM gets attention or gets deleted.
Weak CTAs produce weak results. When readers don't know what to do next — or don't feel compelled to do it — click-through and registration rates stay low.
Without a repeatable process, every EDM is built from scratch. Writing takes too long. Design decisions are guesswork. Deadlines get missed.
Most communicators are trained to write — not to design. Without a framework for visual decisions, every layout feels uncertain and every revision adds risk.
The consequence is not just low open rates.
When EDMs underperform, events go under-attended, campaigns miss their targets, and teams question whether the channel is worth the effort. The problem is rarely the audience — it is the EDM itself.
This two-day workshop teaches both the copywriting and the design — so every EDM you produce works harder from the first line to the last pixel.
Why This Course
Your reader does not experience your copy first and your design second. They experience both simultaneously. EDM Creatives is built on that reality — developing writing and design as one integrated skill set, not two separate courses that leave you to figure out the integration on your own.
Participants work on real EDMs and newsletters across both days. You leave with copy and design assets ready for immediate workplace use — and a repeatable process you can apply to every EDM you create from that point forward.
Who Should Attend
For Singapore government officers and corporate professionals who produce or manage email communications. No design background required — if you write or coordinate EDMs at work, this workshop is for you.
Programme Outline
Day 1 develops your copywriting — headlines, persuasive copy, trust-building, and newsletter content. Day 2 develops your design — structure, visual hierarchy, layout, and hands-on EDM production.
Why This Workshop Is Different
Most EDM programmes focus on writing or design in isolation, leaving you to figure out how to bring them together on your own. This workshop builds both skill sets across two integrated days.
What You'll Learn
This workshop is measured by what you walk away able to do — independently, every time you sit down to create an EDM.
Apply tested copywriting techniques to write headlines and subject lines that attract attention and drive open rates.
Communicate benefits effectively, build reader trust, and write calls to action that generate genuine responses.
Apply proven communication principles to organise content for maximum clarity, engagement, and conversion.
Apply layout, colour, typography, and visual hierarchy to create professional EDMs that are easy to read and on-brand.
Use wireframing techniques to plan short-form and long-form EDM structures efficiently before committing to production.
Evaluate your current EDMs with a trained eye — and know exactly what to improve in both the writing and the design.
